Archive of the Odd (Appreciation Extra)
Please support one of the strangest anthologies out there
There are many great fiction venues out there. The internet has changed the publishing game in multiple ways including print-on-demand, online publishing and online bookstores like Amazon. Even though there's a lot of crap in the world (including AI generated scams), there are still more opportunities for writers and publishers than ever before.
Archive of the Odd is the kind of publication that justifies the internet. Long before I started writing professionally, I've gravitated toward the experimental fiction. I love stories written in different formats – second person, stream of consciousness, etc. In that context, Archive of the Odd makes me very happy. Every story is written in a non-traditional format. One story can be a time travel syllabus while another story is a review of a non-existent video game. Basically, Archive of the Odd is the kind of publication that I wish that I was doing with Dybbuk Press.
While I am grateful that they published a reprint of my story “Introduction to Let's Kill the Pizza Guy”, I am just really impressed with the publication in general. I've sold stories and reprints to many markets and while I am proud of many, Archive of the Odd just makes me happy. Had I heard about it without the sale, I'd still want to share it.
Anyhow, please read an excerpt of my story “Introduction to Let's Kill the Pizza Guy” and share with your friends.
By the way, AI sucks for many reasons. One reason is the fact that many of my potential clients are using it instead of me (and hopefully suffering because of it), so if you’d like to help out, please consider a paid subscription or donating to my gofundme
I also publish books. Check out She Nailed a Stake Through His Head
