My ADHD hit pretty hard this week and I have to focus on the actual paying jobs which are almost all due on Sunday. I did have work this month but I’m still waiting for payments. So that’s fun. Anyhow, I’m posting The Witching Snakes in parts every Sunday. Except for the first chapter, most of these are under a Paywall. I might have another article on Saturday night but this week is pretty shot and I try to get at least two things up here every week (besides the Witching Snakes chapters).

A note: I was going to write a foreword, saying where I got my influences and what I’m trying to do with it, but one of the first influences was a Japanese yokai story based on a Chinese myth with many many adaptations. I didn’t realize that I was writing it as a mystery and I don’t want to spoil it too much.

Anyhow, if you missed the first three chapters, here they are.

And finally we have part 3 where Paul has a weird dream. By the way, I’ve comped some of you for 30 days, but only 30 days. If you want to read more, it’s only $50/year or $5/month. And I will have at least 35 of these things before the book is complete (estimating based on how I’m editing it thus far).

Anyhow, that’s it for this week. Working on the next John Cheever story (his first one that takes place in Italy) and the next chapter of Job (the sea monsters are back!) Hopefully, I will have enough time to get at least one if not both of them up next week.
