The Witching Snakes pt 35
Paul watches Teddy and Friends Trying to Kill Bai Suzhen as he Talks to Greenie. Bai Suzhen wins and Paul Sees that She's Moved On. Paul Says Goodbye and Goes Home to Tomiko.
"You didn't know that I was an ancient snake. We never had that kind of friendship."
Agatha was dancing with the last two assailants. Teddy was chanting when Agatha crushed a throat and ripped out a heart. She walked towards Teddy, organ in her hand, blood spraying on the grass. Teddy took out a handgun and Paul stopped imagining what he would do in the presence of a gun. He shrieked.
It only took a moment for Paul to find a voice enough to speak, but it was the longest moment, the kind of moment when he could see Teddy raising the gun. Agatha did not seem concerned.
"No," said Paul in his weakness. "It is not right that so many people should suffer."
Paul walked to Agatha; Greenie followed. Teddy was still holding the gun, but his eyes were white and he was looking at the sky. Teddy, his savior, the holy man, the savior had crumbled.
"Are you still holding a grudge," asked Agatha. Her voice sounded coquettish. She sat upon the bloody ground. Her clothing remained white. Paul stood above her. Greenie sat next to her friend sister lover wife confidante. Greenie was wearing a closed flak jacket and khaki pants.
"I still love you."
"You came all this way to attack me," she said. Her voice was sweet as if she still cared.
"I don't know what you are talking about," said Paul, "I was just told to come here and save your new beau."
The lie embarrassed him.
"I love Heinrich."
"Why?" said Paul.
"What do you think happened with us?"
